LAHORE – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Co-chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated PTI leader Barrister Gohar Khan over his success in the general elections, the sources said on Saturday.
Zardrai extended good wishes to Barrister Gohar Khan after he bagged huge vote and support from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the general elections.
He also congratulated him over remarkable victories in Punjab as well.
According to a local private TV report, Gohar Khan also gave a reciprocal gesture to Mr. Zardari.
Earlier today, Barrister Gohar Khan, the PTI leader, said that President Arif Alvi would extend an invitation to his party to form the government, citing their majority in the National Assembly.
“We harbor no conflicts with anyone; our aim is to progress. We will proceed to establish a government in compliance with the constitution and legal frameworks,”.
He was addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday.
Gohar Khan stressed that the election results should align with Form 45, as they had received all relevant forms. He warned against suppressing the people’s voices and manipulating government formation.
“There should be no hindrance to the PTI, and results must be promptly disclosed. According to the law, the final outcome derives from Form 45, of which we have obtained all copies,” he insisted, urging for the final results before midnight.
He emphasized that citizens freely exercised their voting rights, with presiding officers diligently counting votes and preparing Form 45, the official vote tally document.
He said that their independents candidates were loyal with them.
“We would proceed to establish an independent government,” he claimed.
