ISLAMABAD: The United States (US) on Wednesday condemned the blast at a PTI election rally in Balochistan’s Sibbi and conveyed deep condolences to those affected by the blast.
In a post on X, (erstwhile Twitter), State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller reiterated the US government’s strong opposition to any form of violence that undermines the electoral process in Pakistan.
The U.S. strongly condemns the attack on PTI party rally in Sibi killing 10 people, which undermines the electoral process. Pakistani people have the right to choose their leader without fear for the country's stability and prosperity. Our deepest sympathies to those affected.

He stressed that the people of Pakistan deserve the right to choose their leaders without fear and intimidation.
Miller noted that this incident is one among several attacks witnessed in the past month, targeting various political groups.
Expressing concern over the security situation, the spokesperson acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to counter the threat of terrorism. The US remains committed to supporting Pakistan in its endeavors to combat terrorism and maintain stability.
On Tuesday, four persons were killed and six injuries in a blast during a PTI’s rally on Jinnah Road in Sibbi.
The police said that the explosive material was planted in a motorcycle.
