In an unfortunate incident, Jaffar express train has been hijacked by terrorists in Bolan with 500 people onboard.

- More than 400 passengers were travelling on the train having nine coaches, as per Pakistan Railway
- Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed the responsibility for the attack.
- Members of the BLA hijacked train in district Sibbi of Balochistan.
- Railways officials say the train was attacked some 24km away from main road.
- Hijackers took the train in a tunnel where phone and internet services are unavailable.

Jaffar Express Hijack incident
On Tuesday morning, when Jaffar express was enroute to Peshawar, unidentified armed men attacked the train, resulting in injuries to several passengers on board.
According to the media reports, the armed men stopped the train in mountainous terrain of Mach. Reportedly, the onboard passengers were taken hostage.
Moreover, eyewitnesses and levies confirmed that Firing in the area continues as train is stopped.
Railway police verified the Jaffar express hijack and validated that stopped train has approximately 500 passengers.
