Recent accounts show he has landed a highprofile movie meant for Salman Khan early.
Preparing for his next big directorial project is Atlee, the genius behind Jawan, which grossed over $139.2 million worldwide and became one of Bollywood’s best movies.
Originally seen with Salman Khan as the main character, the plan is headed.
Because of worries over his varying box office results of late, however, Sun Pictures, the film’s producers, rather decided to cast Allu Arjun.
An over the top action drama with a reincarnation plot runs through the movie.
At first, Sun Pictures would not invest a lot of money given Salman Khan’s lately lackluster box office performance to play the main part.
Allu Arjun ‘replaces’ Salman Khan
Pushpa 2 was highly awaited and Allu Arjun’s appeal went beyond the South Indian film industry, so the producers saw him as a more bankable actor for the show.
Although Allu Arjun’s presence could drive the financial commitment even more, the movie was first budgeted for around $72 million.
Reports have it he got nearly $36 million for Pushpa 2 and he is forecasted to demand even more for this movie.
The film will have a great ensemble cast, including three top actresses. Among these Janhvi Kapoor is the front runner for one of the key characters.
Another well-known Bollywood actor is also expected to be among the lineup.
Although preproduction is expected to start between April and May, followed by the official start of filming later this year.
Allu Arjun is said to have already signed his deal to feature in the picture.
