The Holy Month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast and pray for the entire month, begins with a philanthropic endeavour by British Monarch King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The royal couple went to a well-known restaurant in the capital to assist in setting up dates for charitable contributions that support Britain’s diverse religious communities and encourage inclusivity.
King Charles arrived at Darjeeling Express and Imad’s Syrian Kitchen and helped pack dates into boxes.
Nutritious packed dates are a staple food that is commonly consumed throughout the month of Holi, and it’s a custom to break the fast.
The royals assisted the restaurant staff in preparing these dates and biryani boxes to be donated to the surrounding villages.
The chef at the restaurant expressed gratitude to the royals for their touching visit, stating that their presence served as a reminder of the value of kindness, generosity, and solidarity throughout the holy month.
Additionally, King Charles met with the beneficiaries of a charity that helps Muslim communities that are temporarily housed.
Additionally, they spoke with Sadiya Ahmed, a community leader who works to record the achievements made by Muslims in the UK.
King Charles’s commitment to connecting with and supporting the many populations inside the UK, underlining the significance of charity, unity, and inclusivity.
Muslims in the UK are looking forward to Ramadan; if the crescent is not seen on February 28, Ramadan will start on Sunday. Ramadan is scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 1.
