Renowned Pakistani actor Behroze Sabzwari blamed girls for rising divorces, calling it an upbringing failure.
Behroze Sabzwari is a seasoned actor, shining on screens for decades. The actor is loved for his exceptional acting skills and his down to earth nature. Behroz is also very outspoken about his views on various social issues.
Recently, the actor appeared in a morning show of a local TV channel. During the interview Sabzwari expressed his perception on the rising divorces in Pakistani society.
Behroze said that girls’ over pampering is the root cause of increasing rate of divorces. He went on to say that he is witnessed of such parents who spoil their daughters too much. ‘This leads to the spoil of their marriage life’, Sabzwari shared.
“I attend weddings where 200 million rupees are spent, yet those marriages end within days or months,” he said.
He added that parents now overindulge their daughters and tell them, “Don’t worry, you will be treated like a queen; we have spent 100 million rupees on your wedding.” This affects the way people view marriage.
The girl consequently begins to regard herself as a monarch and takes charge of all decisions. Nevertheless, a husband is still his parents’ son regardless of how modern he is. The attitude of girls and their parents is the primary cause of divorces,” he continued.
“May Allah bless everyone with a son, husband, and father like mine,” Behroze Sabzwari said in honor of his son. “The credit for his good upbringing and strong family values goes to my wife”, he added
He also expressed his admiration for his daughter-in-law, Sadia Kanwal, saying, “She is such a wonderful girl that she has brought the entire family together. She is loved by everyone”, actor told.
