Medicine prices across the country have experienced shocking hike making treatment even more expensive for ordinary citizens.
The prices of various medicines have risen by more than 200%.
According to details, the price of Vorin tablets has reached Rs. 510, while Serbex-Z has increased from Rs. 294 to Rs. 400.
Calsan-D has gone up from Rs. 180 to Rs. 280, Suni-D injection from Rs. 370 to Rs. 450, Origa syrup from Rs. 495 to Rs. 973, and Tonoflex tablets from Rs. 411 to Rs. 455.
Other medicines have also seen significant price hikes:
- Airnic syrup increased from Rs. 117 to Rs. 153
- Clarycid syrup (125 mg) from Rs. 281 to Rs. 560
- Gravinate injection from Rs. 253 to Rs. 625
- Pulmonol syrup from Rs. 149 to Rs. 165
- Insed tablets from Rs. 276 to Rs. 325
- Ponstan pills now cost around rs. 736 up to Rs. 931
- Tablets of Brexin from Rs. 600 to Rs. 650
- Tenorman tabs from Rs. Rs 260 to 313
Moreover, plus Airnic pills pack from Rs. 549 for Eval injection, currently at Rs. 1200, has seen the most drastic increase.

Prices of surgical equipment and Nutraceuticals as well as medicines alone have gone up, hence making therapy even more difficult for the typical person.
Government should act quickly to set medicine costs, citizens say.
