When the session began under the chairmanship of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Opposition Leader Omar Ayub requested the Speaker to speak on a point of order, to which the Speaker refused to allow the point of order during the Question Hour.
Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf started protesting after not being allowed to speak.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that it was decided in the House Business Advisory that the point of objection will not be raised during the Question Hour, I will not allow the point of objection during the Question Hour, this is what was decided in the House Business.
The question period continued amid the opposition’s uproar, during which opposition members tore up copies of the agenda.
The Speaker expressed his anger over the lack of answers to the questions from the Ministry of Interior and asked, “Which officer from the Ministry of Interior has come?”
Speaker of the National Assembly expressed his anger over the absence of officers from the Ministry of Interior in the gallery and also expressed surprise at the presence of the DG CDA.
Senior officers from the Ministry of Interior also arrived at the meeting, to which Speaker Ayaz Sadiq asked, “Are you coming now?”
The officer from the Ministry of Interior said that he had gone to offer prayers.
The Speaker of the National Assembly said that the meeting was supposed to start at 2 pm, so you should have offered prayers first. Both of you officers should sit in my office. You cannot leave here until the session ends.
