A police officer, Saifullah Niazi, lost his life in a shooting incident on Tuesday in Lahore’s Shera Kot area.
Reports indicated that the officer, who was assigned to duty at the Motorway’s Babu Sabu Interchange, had a brief dispute with a shopkeeper.
The disagreement escalated quickly, leading the shopkeeper to fatally shoot the officer on the spot.
Law enforcement officials acted swiftly, with a Dolphin Police team apprehending the suspect, identified as Adeel. The authorities also recovered the firearm used in the attack.
The suspect is now in the custody of Shera Kot police, and an in-depth investigation is underway to determine the circumstances behind the tragic incident.
