Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has unveiled a map of “greater Israel”, which controversially includes not only the occupied Palestinian territories but also part of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and other Arab nations.
This move has drawn widespread condemnation from Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates UAE, who have outright rejected the map.
Saudi Arabia’s reaction:
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the map, calling it baseless and extremist.
The ministry stated that such actions reveal the expansionist intentions of Israeli authorities and represent a blatant violation of international laws.
It emphasizes that these actions undermine regional sovereignty and constitute an attack on the independence of neighboring states.
Saudi Arabia called on the international community to take action to stop Israel’s continuous violation in the region.
Israel is accused of dreaming of regional domination, and its aggression in Gaza continues unabated.
Over the past 24 hours, Israeli bombings on refuge camps in Gaza have killed 51 Palestinians and injured dozens.
According to Arab media attacks on Gaza City Park, Jabalia, and Al-Bureij camps have left 20 people dead.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the casualties included women and infants.
Following the recent strikes, the death toll in Gaza has risen to 45, 926 with 109,274 Palestinians injured since the conflict began.
Violence is not confined to Gaza alone. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli air strikes killed 3 Palestinians, including a child, and left several others injured.
During ongoing operations, Israeli forces also arrested 50 Palestinians. Meanwhile, concerns about war crimes are growing.
Israeli soldiers involved in military operations face the risk of arrest aboard due to alleged war crimes. The intensifying violence and controversial moves like the “greater Israel” map have further strained Israel’s already fragile relationship with the Arab world, amplifying calls for international intervention.
Arab nations continue to call for respect for sovereignty, adherence to international law, and immediate effort to achieve lasting peace in the region.
