Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, has shared that his son’s criteria for marriage make it difficult for him to settle down.
According to Indian media reports, Salim Khan revealed in a recent interview that Salman looks for qualities in a life partner that resembles his mother which is not easy to find.
This is one of the questions why the 59-year-old actor remains unmarried.
Salman Khan has been romantically linked to several Bollywood actresses in the past, including Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, and Aishwarya Rai. However, none of these relationships culminated in marriage.
Salman Khan shares a deep bond with his mother and idolizes her. As a result, he seeks similar attributes in his future spouse.
Salim Khan explained that Salman wants a life partner who can prioritize homemaking and family responsibilities over a career, a standard that many career-oriented women might find unrealistic.
Salim Khan also pointed out in a past interview that it is unreasonable to expect working actresses to abandon their careers entirely to focus solely on traditional homemaking roles such as raising children, helping with their homework, or preparing their meals.
He concluded by stating that such expectations conflict with modern realities and make challenging for Salman to find a partner who aligns with his ideals.
