Gujranwala father burned to death by daughters

A shocking incident occurred in Gujranwala, where two teenage daughters allegedly tied their father up and set him on fire, on Tuesday.

The man, identified as Ali Akbar, succumbed to severe burn injuries and lost his life in the hospital during treatment. Local police have arrested the daughters, aged 16 and 12, and registered a case.

The tragic incident unfolded in a rented house in Gujranwala where Akbar lived with his two wives and children.

Victim Akbar had three marriages and 10 children. His first wife had passed away, leaving him to reside with his second and third wives.

Ali Akbar’s sister filed an FIR against the two wives as suspects alongside the daughters. According to the FIR, one suspect is the daughter of Akbar’s third wife from a previous marriage, while the other is his second wife’s daughter.

The complaint alleged that the two wives, their daughters, and unidentified accomplices sedated Akbar and set him ablaze in a premeditated act.

In their police statements, the daughters confessed to tying their father up while he was asleep and igniting him using petrol siphoned from a motorcycle.

Local authorities are conducting an investigation to uncover the reason behind this harrowing event. However, by so far no clear motive is discovered.
