Veteran actress Maria Wasti revealed the favoritism trend in Pakistani award shows calling it on stage drama to betray audience.

“These groups often support their favorites, based on personal relationships rather than actual talent”, Wasti disclosed.
She further said that these lobbies back their favorite actors, but later criticized the audience for selecting the wrong cast.
