The Cabinet Division has unveiled the schedule of public holidays of 2025,considering national, Islamic, and minority festivals.
As per the calendar, the year’s first holiday will be observed on February 5, followed by Pakistan Day on March 23.
For Eid-ul-Fitr in March, the government is expected to announce a three-day break. Labour Day will be celebrated with a holiday on May 1, while May 28 is designated as a holiday for Youm-e-Takbeer.
Eid-ul-Azha holidays will follow later in the year, with Ashura falling on July 5 and 6, corresponding to Muharram 9 and 10. Independence Day on August 14 will also be a public holiday.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated with holidays on September 5 and 6, during Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Additionally, Iqbal Day will be marked with a holiday on November 9. The final public holiday of the year 2025 will be observed on December 25 for Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day.
