The Private Educational Institutions Regularity Authority has issued a notification announcing winter vacations for private schools and colleges in Islamabad, the Federal Capital.
According to the notification, the private education institute in the city will be closed from 21 December to 5 January for winter vacations. Academic activities will resume in private schools and colleges in Islamabad on January 6.
Earlier, the dates for winter vacations in schools across Punjab were revised. The Punjab school education department issued a notification regarding the change. As per the notification, winter vacations will start on December 23 and schools will reopen on 13 January 2025. This decision applies to all public and private schools in Punjab.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also announced winter vacations for school.
According to the announcements, schools in the plain will observe winter vacation from 22 December to 31 December, while schools in the hilly areas will remain closed from 22 December to 28 February 2025.
Similarly, the Education Department of Balochistan has announced winter vacations for educational institutes. as per the notification, schools in a cold region of Balochistan will be closed from December 16 to 28 February 2025 while schools in warm regions will remain closed from 1 January to 10 January
The Sindh Education Department has also announced winter vacations for schools and colleges in the province. according to the notification, all public and private schools in Sindh will remain closed from 22 December 2024 to 31st December.
The Education Minister of Sindh has also instructed relaxation in uniform codes during the winter season.
