American actress Sydney Sweeney hit back the backlash she faced for her bikini photos, which sparked comments about her appearing bulky.
The 27-year-old star took to Instagram and shared a video highlighting a series of body-shaming remarks aimed at her and a video of her workout.
These comments surfaced after Sydney Sweeney was photographed by paparazzi while wearing a bikini outside her home. These clicks went viral with the caption “frumpy,” “chunky,” and “definitely not supermodel material.”
Refusing to kneel down in front of these bad comments, Sweeney took to Instagram and shared a video of her doing workout. She accompanied the videos with a powerful message, showcasing her commitment to her health and fitness.
This isn’t the first time Sydney Sweeney has spoken out against online critics of her appearance. In May 2021, she posted an emotional video on Instagram after discovering she was trending on Twitter for being “ugly.”
“I know everyone says, ‘Don’t read the comments,’ or ‘You shouldn’t pay attention,’ but I’m a f***ing person, I think it’s important for people to see the real impact words can have”, she said tearfully.
Earlier this year, Sweeney also addressed criticism from film producer Carol Baum, who had claimed the Reality star was “not pretty” and “can’t act.” Sweeney’s representatives responded, saying, “It’s sad that a woman in a position to share her knowledge and experience would choose instead to tear another woman down.”
