Hamza Ali Abbasi’s comeback drama, Jaan e Jahan, garnered immense praise and enjoyed a successful run on television, with audiences connecting deeply with its characters.
However, actor Ali Raza, currently portraying Shahnawaz Shah in Iqtidar, was also in the running for a role in this popular drama. He recently shared this detail in an interview with Something Haute.
Ali Raza disclosed that he had been offered the role of the second lead in Jaan e Jahan, but he turned it down after committing to Noor Jahan.
The role eventually went to Emmad Irfani, whose performance in the part received positive feedback from viewers.
In the same conversation, Ali Raza discussed the issue of miscasting in dramas.
He highlighted instances where the lead pair’s on-screen chemistry felt off, such as when the male lead is much taller than the female lead, which disrupts the visual harmony and makes the frame seem unbalanced.
