The son of NFL legend Randy Moss, Thaddeus Moss denied the media claims that his father Randy is suffering from liver cancer.
The rumors began circulating after Larry Fitzgerald Sr., father of Hall of Fame wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, shared the news on social media.
The father of Hall of Fame, Fitzgerald Sr. reportedly based his post on the conversation with Randy Moss in Las Vegas last year.
When the news circulated the fans and former players, including ex-Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, quickly supported Moss, expressing their love and respect for the legend.
However, Randy’s son Thaddeus Moss took to social media Instagram, and calling the claims false. Thaddeus Moss criticized Fitzgerald Sr. for spreading untrue information.
“This is disgusting,” Thaddeus wrote. “You have no right to try to make private matters public for engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you, so check your f**king sources.”
He also addressed Favre directly and thanked him for his support in this matter but this rumor about his father’s health is false. He wrote, “Brett, the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address everyone when he is ready to.”
Previously, Randy Moss stepped back from his position at ESPN due to personal reasons. His resignation led to speculation about his health issues. However, he emphasized people should stay calm and wait until his father chooses to speak publicly.
For now, the claims of liver cancer remain unverified, and Randy Moss’ health remains a private matter. Fans are encouraged to respect his privacy until he provides an update himself.
