The unique and heart-warming story of the film is filled with emotions, but the film, made on a budget of Rs 40 crore, could not earn even Rs 2 crore on the 5th day of its release.
The film did a business of Rs 25 lakh on the first day, Rs 55 lakh on the second day, Rs 53 lakh on the third day and a mere Rs 17 lakh on the fourth day.
The film was also screened at the 55th International Film Festival of India.
