Lahore police have removed the hurdles from main exit and entry points of the city allowing partial traffic flow.
Security forces have partially cleared the key routes including Niazi Chowk, GT Road and Batti Chowk to restore the flow of local transport.
As per the announcement of Lahore police, containers placed on the main routes of the city have been removed from one side to allow the passengers to reach their destination without any difficulty.
However, the transportation between Lahore and Islamabad is completely halted. The intercity bus operation between Lahore and other cities is also stopped.
Meanwhile, Lahore Metro Bus service remained partly operational, running only on a limited route between Gajjumata and MAO College.
Officials say that the traffic flow will be normalized soon after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) protest is ended.
Previously, amid the PTI protest security forces have blocked all the routes connecting Lahore and Islamabad. Local police had placed the hurdles in all the exit and entry points of the city.
Main routes including Niazi Shaheed Chowk, Begum Kot, Shahdara Chowk, Saggian, Imamia Colony railway crossing, and the old Ravi bridge were blocked with containers.
By the second day of the protest security forces are still active on the main routes, monitoring transportation.
