Pakistan’s star batsman and former national team captain Babar Azam demonstrated poor performance in the T20 series in Australia.
Babar Azam’s previous performances in a set of matches are a big question mark for the cricketer’s career as an opening batsman.
Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali made an important prediction about the national cricketer Babar Azam’s T20 career.
The cricketer remarked, “As long as Aqib Javed is the head coach, this may be Babar Azam’s last T20 match.”
During a private TV program, Basit Ali remarked, “I am simply stating what is evident. You have a premium batsman averaging just 14 runs across three matches. What kind of batsman gets dismissed before the eighth over?”
When the host asked Basit why only Babar Azam was being mentioned and targeted when other cricketers were not doing anything. In response, Basit Ali said that other players don’t have as much experience as Babar Azam.
“What is the use of his runs when you can’t score a double-figure score on the pitch?”, he asked.
It’s worth noting that former national captain Babar Azam’s recent performances have left both his fans and former players concerned. However, they remain hopeful to witness his brilliant batting once again.
