Renowned veteran actress Asma Abbas has criticized the people who love to ask personal questions, calling it off limits.
Asma Abbas is one of the most senior and talented actors of Pakistani media industry. She has been a part of many hit projects of entertainment industry.
Asma is also very active on social media platforms. She runs a YouTube channel that has gained a large viewership.
Recently in her YouTube vlog, Asma highlighted how individuals are often excited to ask very private questions, which, she believes, are inappropriate.
Asma quoted some examples to explain this behavior. “During our time it was very common for people to ask newly married women, “Are you expecting?” or “When are you planning to have children?”, Asma told.
She added that such type of questions would often come right after marriage, without any consideration for the couple’s feelings or plans.
Asma mentioned that the most common question that people often ask is “Why aren’t you getting married?”. And if a person suffered from a breakup or choose to remain single, people will ask, What’s the reason behind your breakup?” or “Why are you still single?”
Asma stressed that such inquiries about marriage, relationships, or family planning are very inappropriate and should be strictly avoided.
Additional to this Asma pointed out that people also seem interested knowing about others’ salaries.
Asma said that some people even ask that much personal questions which make others uncomfortable. She advised people to avoid asking personal questions from anyone. “People should refrain from asking such private, sensitive questions and respect others’ boundaries”, Asma added.
