Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism after a devastating suicide bombing at Quetta Railway Station that claimed the lives of more than two dozen people, including military personnel.
The tragic attack, which struck the heart of Balochistan’s capital, was followed by a funeral service for the victims at Quetta Garrison, attended by high-ranking officials such as the COAS, Federal Interior Minister, Balochistan’s Governor and Chief Minister, as well as numerous military and civilian dignitaries.
After the Janaza prayers, General Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) to meet with the wounded, offering his condolences and condemning the heinous act of terror.
“This attack will not break our resolve. Pakistan is fully determined to wipe out terrorism from every corner of the country,” he stated.
General Munir emphasized the necessity of national unity in the fight against terrorism, calling on all Pakistanis to stand alongside the military and civilian authorities in securing the nation’s future.
The army chief’s visit underscored the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region and the military’s commitment to ensuring the safety and peace of the people of Pakistan.
The bombing served as a grim reminder of the volatile security situation in Balochistan, but the leadership vowed to remain vigilant and steadfast in the face of such violent acts.
