Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is expected to leave for London on Tuesday.
Media reports say she is going abroad for medical treatment.
“Maryam Nawaz has throat infection which is chronic. She needs proper medical treatment,” reports say quoiting her physicians.
Her doctors advised her to go to London for treatment, sources said.
Reports say Punjab chief minister visited her family hospital, Sharif Medical City Hospital for check-up. Her doctors have advised surgery for infection.
If leaves for London tomorrow, it will be her foreign visit since she assumed the charge of Punjab CM. Punjab government has yet to officially announce the visit. Source say she might stay more than a week in London for treatment.
Her father, the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, and two brothers are already staying in London.
Nawaz went to London a week before and he also travelled to the US for “treatment.”
Sharif City is developed near Raiwind and owned by the Sharif Family. It developed on hundreds of acres of land which the family acquired from local residents years ago. It has hospital, farm-house, school and residential area spread over acres. However, the members of Sharif family, except Maryam Nawaz, are living abroad.
