The federal government on Tuesday announced the new prices for the petroleum products, making no change in the petrol price.
The government, however, increased price of diesel.
The Finance Ministry issued the notification.
The price of diesel was increased by Rs5 per liter, and settled at new price to Rs251.29 per liter.
The notification confirmed that there is no change in the price of petrol, which would remain at 247 rupees and 3 paise per liter.
The Ministry of Finance stated that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reviewed the prices of petroleum products based on the international market.
Regarding the new prices of petroleum products, it was mentioned that the revised prices would be effective from October 16, 2024, for the next 15 days.
