Renowned Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani suggested Gen Z to get married at their 30’s.
Sarwat Gilani is a talented actress in Pakistan entertainment industry. She is also an activist and often shared her views on the set patterns of society.
Recently, Sarwat appeared in an interview on the Rukhsat podcast.
During the interview Sarwat expressed her opinion on marriage and companionship. She said that young generation should wait for their 30’s to get married.
She explained that in Pakistan when people reach 24, they considered themselves as “expired milk”.
“I believe that Gen Z should change this mindset. Younger generation should make more thoughtful choices about marriage”, Sarwat said.
Sarwat also talked about the differences between arranged marriage and love marriage.
“Success of marriage does not depend on its type. Sometimes arrange marriages lead to stronger bonds while love marriages fail”, she added.
Sarwat said that during 20’s people are discovering about themselves. At that time they could not figure out that which kind of person will suit them as a life partner. That’s why during this phase people make often wrong decision about marriage.
Sarwat advised younger generation to wait until 30s, when people are generally more mature and able to make lasting decisions.
