A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cabin crew member has gone missing in Toronto, marking the 12th case since past year.
The flight attendant, Mohsin Raza, was scheduled to return on flight PK 784 to Karachi on October 13 but failed to show up at the designated time.
Mohsin is Islamabad’s resident, serving as a flight attendant on the Islamabad-Toronto route. Raza didn’t report for duty at the hotel before the flight, it’s confirmed that he went missing.
This situation reignited concerns over the increasing number of PIA staff members vanishing during layovers in Canada.
Previously, PIA stricken protocols and included a policy of retaining aircrew passports during layovers to prevent such disappearances.
PIA spokesperson confirmed that an investigation is underway and disciplinary actions will be taken against Raza. The Airline has been struggling with such incidents for the past few years.
