Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow evening for a brief 24-hour visit.
The minister will take part in the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, where key diplomatic meetings are anticipated.
During his stay, Jaishankar is expected to engage in important discussions with Pakistani leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
The leader will focus on regional cooperation and strengthening ties under the SCO framework.
According to reports, Jaishankar might also attend a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Sharif in honor of the visiting dignitaries.
This visit represents a rare diplomatic encounter between India and Pakistan.
Moreover, Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Islamabad earlier today for the summit, marking his first official visit to Pakistan in 11 years.
He was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and received a formal guard of honor at the PM House.
The two leaders are expected to hold high-level discussions to bolster bilateral relations.
