Donald Trump, a former Republican president, proposed using the military to combat the “domestic enemies” on the day of elections.
In an interview with Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump stated that he is more afraid of “radical left lunatics” than of foreign adversaries.
I believe that internal issues are the larger issue. There are some really awful people here. Trump remarked, “We have some terrible people.”
He went on to say, “I believe it should be handled very easily by the National Guard, if required, or by the military, if really necessary, because they can’t let that exist.”
In answer to a query about his anticipation of chaos on election day, Trump’s supporters assaulted the US Capitol Building in Washington on January 6, 2021. “No, I don’t think, particularly from the side that supports for Trump,” he responded.
Trump said, “I think the bigger issue is the enemy from inside, not even individuals that have come in and eliminating our country, by the way, completely destroying our nation, the towns, the villages, they’re being inundated.”
He was referring to the Justice Department’s decision to arrest and charge an Afghan national for allegedly planning a terrorist attack in the US on election day.
