Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has permitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Barrister Gohar to meet with party founder Imran Khan.
According to media reports Naqvi talked to Gohar on Sunday and allowed him to meet with Khan at Adiala Jail.
Naqvi said that only Gohar will be allowed to see Imran Khan. He mentioned that other lawyers and doctors will not have access to incarcerated leader.
Government had banned all the meetings with Imran Khan after the previous PTI protests in Islamabad. After this restriction the PTI submitted an application to the interior minister for permission to meet Khan.
Barrister Gohar along with Sahibzada Hamid Raza, head of the Sunni Ittehad Council have filed this application. In the application it was mentioned that the last meeting with Imran Khan took place on October 3.
Gohar also requested Naqvi to allow the doctors and lawyers to meet the imprisoned leader.
Recently, interior minister has granted permission to Barrister Gohar to meet Khan.
Earlier the PTI has demanded the government to allow PTI leaders to meet khan.
In a video message, PTI leader Hammad Azhar told that if the government does not allow the PTI workers to meet Khan, they will set a protest in Islamabad.
Other PTI leaders also demanded immediate permission to meet Khan. They stated that they will postpone their protest scheduled for October 15 if the meeting is allowed.
Now, Naqvi has allowed Gohar to see Mr. Imran. However, PTI has not given any statement yet to postpone the protest in Islamabad.
