Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Wednesday for a three days official visit.
Earlier in the day, Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan arrived at Islamabad airport.
Additional Foreign Secretary (Asia Pacific) Imran Ahmed Siddiqui welcomed the minister, Foreign Office posted on X.
During the visit, Prime Minister Ibrahim will meet with his Pakistani counterpart, Shehbaz Sharif, to discuss various regional and global issues.
Premiers will look at ways to improve cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia in areas like trade, energy, agriculture, tourism and the halal industry.
Malaysia’s Prime Minister aims to strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two countries.
Ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials will also meet Anwar Ibrahim.
The Foreign Office called this visit a valuable chance to enhance ties between the two Muslim nations. In preparation for the visit, Islamabad has been decorated with both Malaysian and Pakistani flags.
Shehbaz Sharif and Ibrahim last met in April at a World Economic Forum event in Saudi Arabia, where Shehbaz invited Ibrahim to visit Pakistan.
