Prominent Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik has extended his stay in Pakistan to nearly a month, following an initial plan of a 15-day visit.
Starting tomorrow, he will spend 10 days in Karachi.
He will be welcomed at Jinnah International Airport by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.
The Sindh Police’s Special Security Unit (SSU) will ensure his protection throughout his stay in the city, where he is expected to meet various notable figures.
Dr. Naik, who has been living in Malaysia since leaving India in 2016, will engage with top Pakistani religious leaders such as Mufti Taqi Usmani, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, and Mufti Abdul Rahim.
He will also meet with senior government officials from Sindh and visit a key government institution on October 4.
On October 5, he will deliver a public address at Bagh-e-Quaid, near the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
From October 7 to 10, he will have private meetings before departing for Lahore on October 11.
Arriving in Pakistan on September 30 at the government’s invitation, Dr. Naik is scheduled to stay until October 28.
During this period, he will lead public gatherings in various cities, offer Friday prayers, and meet with government officials.
His Pakistan tour was confirmed via a social media post on X, where he also mentioned that his son, Shaikh Fariq Naik, is accompanying him.
During the visit, Dr. Naik had a brief meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.
He will also hold public rallies in Lahore on October 12 and 13, followed by Islamabad on October 19 and 20.
