The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration arrested eight passengers in two separate operations at Karachi Airport.
Suspects were attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan with forged documents. Among those detained was a police officer from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who had planned to travel to Germany.
In one case, four women, led by a suspect named Akram, were caught while trying to travel to Saudi Arabia under the pretense of performing Umrah. Their actual intention was to beg in the country.
In a separate operation, Salman, Mohammad Nauman, and Mohammad Hussain were detained for attempting to fly to Azerbaijan on fake study visas. Further investigation revealed that Mohammad Hussain had a counterfeit German visa stored on his mobile phone.
The suspects allegedly planned to secure on-arrival German visas in Azerbaijan after paying between Rs300,000 to Rs800,000.
Authorities suspect that these individuals were part of a larger network involved in human trafficking and document fraud. FIA officials are continuing their investigation to uncover more details about their operations and potential links to other illegal activities.
