The federal government on Monday reduced the prices of the petroleum products by up to Rs3.57 per liter. The new prices would be effective from midnight tonight.
The petrol price was cut down by Rs2.07 per liter, bringing the new price down from Rs249.10 to Rs247.03 per liter.
The price of high-speed diesel was reduced by Rs3.40 per liter, changing the new rate from Rs249.69 to Rs246.29 per liter.
Similarly, the price of light diesel decreased by Rs1.03 per liter, resulting in a new price of Rs140.90, down from Rs141.93. Kerosene prices have dropped by Rs3.57 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs154.90.
From June 1, 2024, to October 1, 2024, petrol prices have been reduced by a total of Rs21.23 per liter, while diesel prices have decreased by Rs18.67 per liter.
The new prices for petroleum products will be implemented at midnight tonight.
