Earthquake jolts Balochistan's Kalat

Earthquake tremours hits Kalat, a district in Balochistan. The residents felt an earthquake on Sunday afternoon. The Pakistan Meteorological Department confirmed the quake registered a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale.

The quake’s epicenter was located around 13 kilometers south of Kalat, at a depth of 25 kilometers. Despite the moderate intensity, no casualties or major property damage were reported in Kalat or the surrounding areas.

The tremors caused widespread panic, with residents rushing out of their homes in fear. Many gathered in public spaces, reciting verses from the Holy Quran for comfort and protection.

Local authorities urged residents to stay calm and remain vigilant as emergency services are on alert, monitoring for potential aftershocks.
