Famous singer Nimra Mehra, who recently rose to fame, shared the real reason behind her Indian name. The singer’s journey started as a child artist before auditioning for Pakistan Idol.
Her passion for music has led her to make appearances on various news channels and collaborate with multiple artists. Nimra gained widespread recognition with her hit song “Tu Subha Di Paak Hawa Warga,” which launched her career and allowed her to perform on various platforms.
Recently, Nimra appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where she expressed her love for music and her commitment to creating more songs for her fans. However, she also shared her frustrations regarding the treatment of new singers.
Nimra revealed that many senior singers from traditional families often insult emerging talent instead of mentoring them, a challenge she has faced firsthand.
During the podcast, she explained the story behind her stage name. Coming from an Arain family with the surname Mehar, she chose the name Mehra when creating her Facebook ID to stand out among many girls named Nimra Shabbir. The name gained popularity, eventually becoming her well-known stage identity.
