Hezbollah on Wednesday launched a missile attack on the headquarters of Israel’s secret agency, Mossad, in the central region of Israel.
Hezbollah carried out the attack in retaliation for the Pager explosions and the martyrdom of its senior commander.
The international news agency said that Hezbollah claimed to have targeted Mossad’s headquarters in Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv, with a “Qadr 1” ballistic missile.
Confirming the incident, the Israeli military stated that the missile landed near Mossad’s headquarters, causing no casualties or damage, though a fire erupted at the site of the rocket’s impact.
On the other hand, Hezbollah claimed that their missile successfully hit its target, evading Israel’s high-tech defense system filled with valuable intelligence technology.
Hezbollah further stated that the missile strike on Mossad’s headquarters was in retaliation for the martyrdom of their senior commanders in the Pagers and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesperson said that this morning they destroyed a Hezbollah launcher in Lebanon which was used to launch ground-to-ground missiles.
