Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was booked in a case in Lahore, the policy confirmed on Monday.
The police filed the case at the Manawan police station, invoking the Anti-Terrorism Act and including 13 charges, including attempted murder.
According to the case details, Ali Amin was leading an armed group at the Sialkot Interchange. At his direction, there was an attempt to set fire to vehicles parked at the Toll Plaza, and the armed group also resisted police using an AK-47.
As time ran out, Lahore police halted the PTI rally and brought down the leaders from the container. The FIR states that Ali Amin Gandapur, Shahid Khatak, and others engaged in rioting and caused injuries to two police officers at the behest of Gandapur, who also instructed followers to break the windows of vehicles at the Toll Plaza.
On September 21, after the rally concluded, Ali Amin Gandapur had arrived at the venue, where enthusiastic workers greeted him. He stepped out of his vehicle, waved to the crowd, and interacted with supporters before leaving.
Previously, he had reacted angrily upon seeing a vehicle blocking his path in Ferozewala and had broken its window with his gun.
