The price of gold on Friday reached a record high globally including in Pakistan.
All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association said the price of gold per tola increased by Rs3,500, bringing it to the highest level in the country’s history.
After Rs 3,500 increase, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan is now Rs272,000.
The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs3,001, and settled at Rs233,196.
Meanwhile, in the international market, the price of gold has surged by $35, reaching $2,612 per ounce, marking a record high in the global market.
