The Pakistani cinematic phenomenon The Legend of Maula Jatt, which has shattered box office records, is preparing to hit screens in India this October.
After captivating Pakistani audiences for two consecutive years, the film, produced by Geo Films, is scheduled to release in Indian Punjab on October 2.
The film, a project of Ammara Hikmat and directed by Bilal Lashari, represents a landmark moment for films crossing borders.
Lashari recently took to social media to announce the news, expressing his excitement at the movie’s continued success and its upcoming Indian release.
In a social media post, Lashari shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m thrilled that our Punjabi audience in India will finally experience this passion project.”
Lashari also noted that The Legend of Maula Jatt has maintained its popularity in Pakistan, with cinemas still filling up, particularly on weekends, even two years after its debut.
“Coming to Indian Punjab on October 2! Two years in, and we’re still selling out theaters on weekends in Pakistan!” he added.
Renowned for its powerful performances, breathtaking visuals, and intense action sequences, The Legend of Maula Jatt is set to continue its groundbreaking journey by reaching a new audience across the border.
