A reduction in the pricing of petroleum products is projected by the end of this week, owing to the decline in global oil prices. If confirmed the cost of petroleum items would have decreased for three straight biweekly periods.
According to sources who spoke with local media, there would be a Rs. 12 drop in the price of petrol and a Rs. 12 drop in the price of diesel per litre.
Kerosene oil prices are also anticipated to decrease, maybe by as much as Rs8 per liter. Based on changes in the worldwide market, the final price of petroleum goods will probably be announced by September 15th’s evening.
The government had previously on August 14 stated that fuel prices will be reduced by Rs8.47 per litre, to Rs260 as an Independence Day present.
Later, the government declared that HSD prices will drop by Rs2.31 per liter for the first half of September, amounting to a reduction of Rs2.97 per litre.
