Aamina Sheikh, renowned for her impressive acting skills and dedication to the arts, recently shared the reasons behind her decision to take a break from her acting career. In a conversation with MomKast, Sheikh opened up about prioritizing her family and the challenges she faced.
Sheikh revealed that balancing her acting career with motherhood was incredibly demanding. “I would complete a scene and then nurse my daughter before returning to set. The physical toll of breastfeeding between shoots meant I was effectively working two shifts,” she explained.
She continued, “As my daughter’s schooling and daily routine took precedence, I encountered additional personal challenges that required me to step back from my career. This led to my move to Dubai to better manage my responsibilities.”
Reflecting on her decision as a working mother, Sheikh stated, “I had to decide whether to prioritize my child’s future or my career. I chose my child. I needed to redesign my life, reestablish my family’s foundation, and put my work on hold. Fortunately, I had financial support from my parents and the stability I had worked for, which many women might not have.”
