India defeated England by 68 runs in the semi-final, securing finalist slot with South Africa in T20 World Cup.
Rohit Sharma-11 posted a strong 171-7 in the rain-hit thriller at Providence Stadium with captain Sharma (57) and Suryakumar Yadav (47).
The former champion manged to send packing England for 103 within 17 overs with the magic of spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.
Indian batters scored 46 in six power-play overs, costing two key wickets of Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant at begining.
Sharma started comparatively slow but gained confidence before the start of rain in 8th over. India was then at 65-2.
The game resumed after a short interval and Adil Rashid and Jofra claimed the wickets of Sharma and Suryakumar.
Jordan (3-37) dismissed Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube but till then India managed to secure a good total. England began smartly but soon its top order went back to pavilion and entire team fall out at 103, losing the semis with 68 runs.
