Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed willingness of Pakistan for talks with India. He said the normalisation of relation between to two neighbours are vital for the well-being of the people of not only to the two countries but entire region.
The minister was speaking at an event organised by Islamabad Strategic Studies Islamabad, as per report of an English daily.
Pakistan and India have long been indulged in hostile relations, leading to wars, tensions and clashes between the two since independence.
Ishaq Dar said that Islamabad did not believe in hostility, highlighting the need for relations on the basis of mutual-respect. He also called for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
He linked normalisation of ties to the peace and prosperity of the South asian region, saying both the countries launch efforts for the poverty reduction, employment and providing health and education facilities to the millions of people. Almost 40 percent population of Pakistan and India lives below the poverty line. World has frequently call for Pakistan-India dialogue.
