As part of its plan to improve the entrance and departure points of the provincial capital, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has given the go-ahead for the Thokar Niaz Baig Interchange’s rehabilitation and restoration.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq presided over the Development Sub-Committee meeting on Tuesday when the decision was taken.
The committee received details on the project by LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed, who emphasized that it will involve lane delineation, asphalt construction, beautification, and signage. He said that the finished project will greatly enhance traffic flow on Multan Road and the Motorway.
After the meeting, LDA DG went to the LDA record room, where Rabil Butt, the director of record management, gave a summary of the different parts. He was given the task of teaching the record room employees how to use firefighting equipment by the LDA DG.
