The ‘much anticipated’ boxing fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul on Netflix has been postponed.
Paul’s fight promotion firm said via an Instagram post that the battle had been postponed because of Mike’s urgent medical condition.
The announcement said, “Unfortunately, the highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will be postponed.”
“After meeting with medical professionals on Thursday to discuss his recent ulcer flare-up, the company has recommended that Mike Tyson return to full training without any restrictions for the next few weeks,” the statement reads.
Paul’s organization stated, “Jake and Mike agree that it is only right to make sure that both athletes have equal training time to get ready for this crucial match and are able to compete at the highest level.”
The firm concluded the statement by saying, “We fully support Mike in taking the necessary time to allow him to perform at the level he expects of himself. The health and well-being of athletes is our top priority.”
The match’s revised date will be revealed on Friday, June 7.
