Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is running for Lok Sabha and has made mention of quitting the media business after the results.
When asked about her future in the film industry in a recent interview, the star stated that if she wins the elections, she plans to leave Bollywood.
Ranaut called the film industry dishonest and manufactured in his criticism.
She declared that she preferred sincerity and passion above a traditional career, characterising it as a slick, artificial setting created to entice spectators.
Notably, her production company Manikarnika Films stated that her eagerly awaited Bollywood film “Emergency” had been postponed once more.
The movie’s original release date of November 2023 was postponed for June 14, 2024.
“Our queen Kangana Ranaut prioritises her duty to the nation and her commitment to serve the country, hence the release date of ‘Emergency’ has been postponed,” the production team announced on their Instagram feed.
Ranaut is making her political debut by running from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
She submitted her nomination earlier this month and is currently working on her campaign.
In the film “Emergency,” which she also produced and directed, Ranaut plays the starring role of Indira Gandhi, a former Indian prime minister.
