Pakistan and Turkey collaborated on the high-budget historical drama “Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi,” which had its premiere in Pakistan following its Turkish premiere on TRT.
The series stars Uğur Güneş as Salahuddin Ayyubi and has a cast that is primarily Turkish.
Over 6,000 people attended the drama’s auditions in Pakistan when it was announced in December 2021, and there were rumours that well-known performers like Ayesha Omar were being considered for parts.
The Urdu version of the series has excited Pakistani viewers, who have followed in the footsteps of other Turkish historical dramas like “Diriliş: Ertuğrul” and “Kuruluş: Osman” in popularity.
