India’s popular reality show “Big Boss OTT” Season 2 winner Elvish Yadav has been arrested by the police in connection with a snake venom case.
On March 17th, the Noida Police arrested Elvish over suspicions of his connection to the illegal procurement and distribution of snake venom. Additional DCP Noida, Manish Kumar, confirmed the arrest, stating it marks a significant development in the investigation.
Elvish Yadav in 14-day judicial custody
The local court in Noida remanded Elvish Yadav to 14-day judicial custody, showing the seriousness of the charges against him. This arrest has not only drawn attention to the ethical practices within the influencer community but has also raised broader questions about the accountability and responsibility of individuals with significant social media influence.
Initially, Elvish Yadav denied any involvement during questioning. However, he later confessed to his part in obtaining snake venom for parties he organized.
According to police sources, Elvish also admitted to using snakes in his videos, which is against the law. As a result, the local court in Noida has ordered him to be held in jail for 14 days.
This news has come as a shock to many, given Elvish’s rise to fame after winning “Big Boss OTT” Season 2. However, it serves as a reminder that even celebrities/influencers can face consequences if they engage in unlawful activities.
