Late Indian Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s mother, Charan Kaur, and father, Balkaur Singh, have welcomed a newborn son into their family.

Balkaur Singh shared a heartwarming image on Instagram to announce the news. Charan Kaur, aged 58, and Balkaur Singh, aged 60, welcomed the newborn, capturing the moment with a framed photo of their deceased elder son.
“In the embrace of countless souls seeking blessings for Shubhdeep, the Divine has bestowed upon us Shubh’s younger brother. Grateful for divine benevolence, our family thrives, and I extend profound gratitude to all well-wishers,” expressed Balkaur Singh in Punjabi via Instagram.
Sidhu Moosewala’s parents, who are in their late 50s, underwent IVF treatment, a technique aiding conception by fertilizing eggs with sperm outside the body.
In a video he shared, Balkaur tenderly holds his newborn, surrounded by hospital staff. Charan beams with joy as she gazes at her child. The family celebrates with cake, extending gratitude to well-wishers.

Addressing earlier speculations, Balkaur emphasized that only the family would share authentic updates. “We are thankful to Sidhu’s fans who are concerned about our family. But we plead there are so many rumours going around about the family, they are not to be believed. Whatever news, the family will share with you all,” he wrote.
Sidhu Moosewala, a prominent figure, met an untimely demise, leaving a void in the music industry. A group of assailants fatally wounded Sidhu Moosewala in his car on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries, prompting his parents to advocate for justice. Despite his tragic fate, his posthumously released songs continue to captivate audiences.
The incident took place a day after his security cover was withdrawn as a part of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann government’s exercise to crack down on VIP culture in the state.
Moosewala unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa in 2022 but was defeated by AAP’s Vijay Singla.
